Girard's Foodservice Dressings in Manteno, IL is seeking an hourly forklift operator who reports to the Plant Manager. The role is responsible for operating a lift truck and for receiving, locating and storing raw materials, and shipping finished product to customers and warehouses.

You will work in a manufacturing environment, follow safety procedures, rotate raw materials, prepare UPS shipments, enter receipt and shipment data into the computer system, and maintain warehouse housekeeping.

Competenze

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment; preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with others and be self-directed.
• Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.

GENERAL SUMMARY

This is an hourly position that reports to the Plant Manager and this position is responsible to operate (drive) a lift truck and responsible for receiving, locating and storing raw materials and shipping finished product to customers and warehouses.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION

• Receive incoming materials in a manner consistent with receiving & safety procedures.
• Inspect and evaluate quality of incoming materials, report findings into computer-based system.
• Locate, store and enter receipt transactions into computer-based system.
• Locate & transfer all finished product from storage to dock for shipping.
• Enter all customer shipments / warehouse transfers into the computer-based tracking system.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the warehouse areas.
• Rotate raw materials.
• Prepare UPS shipments.
• Understand and follow all standards, food safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Effective verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to work well with others in the company.
• Self directed with a great attitude.
