Creative Plastics is seeking a reliable Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to join our Assembly team. The role focuses on safe movement of goods, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining accurate inventory within the warehouse and production areas.

The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and related equipment, track inventory with handheld scanners, and ensure product safety while adhering to safety procedures.

Formación

• Requires forklift and pallet jack experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and handheld scanners is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Support team operations with flexibility and a collaborative mindset.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures and attend training sessions.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and safe movement of goods within our warehouse and production areas. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and related equipment to load, unload, and organize materials while maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring product safety.

1st shift 7am - 5:30pm Mon-Thurs

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload materials in production and warehouse areas.
• Use handheld barcode scanners to track and update inventory.
• Perform product counts, tagging, weighing, and labeling.
• Wrap pallets using shrink wrap to prepare shipments.
• Assist with incoming and outgoing deliveries, including Bill of Ladings.

Supervision Received:

Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Previous Forklift experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting:Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
• Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
• Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
• Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
• Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.

Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
