Job Description

• This position is for a 12-hour rotating day shift (7:00AM to 7:00PM). Schedule: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Requirements:

• Remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process products from the discharge unit of printing press or adhesive coating equipment.
• Review signatures for smearing, register issues, bad folds, etc., and notify the Pressroom.
• Remove folded signatures from web press and place signatures on pallet or skid for removal to warehouse or binding areas.
• May adjust stacking mechanism on press according to paper dimensions. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, carts, and trays.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices.
• Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together using banding machines and clinchers.
• May use automated equipment and/or operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Assist Press Crew with make-ready of equipment, including retrieving, hanging, recycling, or storing plates.
• Perform in-process quality checks of printed materials for blemishes, scratches, or other print defects.

Qualifications:

• Able to stock, move, jog, arrange, unload, count, and rotate items on/off printing press equipment according to operating instructions or under supervision.
• May require knowledge of automatic counters and tabulating counts for jobs.
• Ability to complete forms related to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Good knowledge of warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic procedures, and storage areas for efficient placement and retrieval of materials.
• Skillful in using manual dollies, carts, hand trucks, and hand tools for material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping, and stretch wrapping tools.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.00 to $22.26 per hour. The actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location.
