Job description

**** The Material Handler 2 is an advanced position requiring significant experience in warehousing operations, exceptional technical skills (equipment operation, counting, space utilization, handling efficiency), and in-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and software (Agile, SAP, WMS).

To be eligible, a Material Handler must be capable of completing the essential job duties and assigned certification within a limited time. In order to support the operation, he/she must be capable of learning and training his/her juniors quickly.

The job entails becoming a SME in all warehouse processes and being able to take on special projects, suggest CIPs to increase productivity and efficiency as well as coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Receiving: Receiving materials, physically and systemically, to be used in production operations and engineering projects.
  2. Parts Put-away: Physically and systemically moving approved Production materials from IQC staging areas into SMKT storage locations (Totes and Bulk).
  3. Supermarket (SMKT) Parts Replenishment: Point-of-use parts replenishment for designated production lines.
  4. MT: Fulfilling and transacting MT requests, received either electronically or via hard copy.
  5. Sales Order Fulfillment: Fulfilling and transacting Sales Orders and Service Transfer Orders. Maintain, report, and drive STO’s, direct to Mexico, northbound, and other locations replenishment process.
  6. SPP Kitting: Production parts replenishment via SPP kitting.
  7. Pack Out: Packing System carts, FRUs, and kits.
  8. Inventory Control: Understand full flow of the material within stockroom locations. Participate in Cycle Count, Physical Inventories, and reconciliation activities in coordination with Inventory analyst, conduct material audits and parts verification, evaluate bin capacity and consolidations to increase storage capacity. Maintain various SOX compliance audit records and suggest CIPs to improve warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Responsible for complying with general Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and warehouse housekeeping processes.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Material Handling operations preferred.
  • Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to adhere to attendance, safety, quality, and performance guidelines.
  • Experience training/mentoring other material handlers.
  • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders) required.
  • Proficient in Agile and/or SAP.
  • Experience with other computer systems (MS Office) preferred.
  • Inventory control experience (cycle counting, physical inventories).
Education and Training
  • High school degree or GED required.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs.
  • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motions required.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Medical device experience preferred.
  • Experience and/or certification in operating material-handling equipment preferred.
