Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler 2 in Alabama. The role involves operating forklift, overhead crane, and other equipment to receive inventory, move raw materials, and stage finished goods within the plant and yard.

Safety, quality, and on-time delivery are emphasized. The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent (or ACT WorkKeys) and at least 6 months of related experience; preferred 1 year of mobile equipment experience and a certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or ACT WorkKeys assessment at certified level.
• 6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Preferred: 1 year operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing/shipping environment.
• Preferred: Mobile equipment certification.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
• Transports materials to designated areas and staging locations.
• Participates in continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Completes paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements.
• Maintains housekeeping and 5-S practices.
