International Paper is seeking a Material Handler 2 in Des Moines, IA. You will manage the flow of materials, perform forklift-related tasks, load/unload trailers, and help maintain safe, efficient plant operations.

Ideal candidates are 18+, authorized to work in the United States, fluent in English, and able to work overtime or different shifts. This full-time hourly role offers $25.20/hr with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain the flow of materials throughout the plant.
• Complete daily pre-start forklift inspection reports.
• Record bale counts and loading times for outbound shipments.
• Follow trailer loading/unloading safety procedures.
• Assist with sorting, deboxing and moving pallets on the plant floor.
• Load and unload trailers and perform PMs on equipment.
• Attend safety meetings and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Support cost control through efficient use of equipment and consumables.
