Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Terrell, TX is seeking a Material Handler 2 to move metal products from tables, trucks, and crates to production lines. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and reliability, and is a solid entry into our fabrication team.

You'll participate in rotating tasks, perform quality inspections, and use basic measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler 2 is focused on moving metal products from tables, facility, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Fabrication department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Transport of materials including metal, doors, frame from tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
