Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring for a material handler role focusing on loading, unloading, and moving materials in the plant and yard. You will operate tooling to open containers, weigh items, and log movements in the material management system, supporting machine operators and ensuring accurate records.

A high school diploma with relevant experience is required, along with the ability to lift 35 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 3+ years or more relevant warehouse/production scheduling experience.
  • High school diploma with 5+ years or more relevant warehouse/Production scheduling experience.
  • Able to lift or move 35 lbs unassisted.
  • Proficient using SAP or MMAS systems.
  • Proficient with office suite.
  • Able to perform a two-person lift per MIL-STD-1472.
  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours occasionally to meet deadlines.
  • US citizenship is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving. Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand Loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand. Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist. Performs transactions in material management system to reflect movements of material.


BQs:


  • For a level 2: High school diploma with at least 3 years of relevant warehouse or production scheduling experience

  • For a level 3: High School diploma with at least 5 years of relevant warehouse or Production scheduling experience

  • Able to lift or move 35 lbs unassisted

  • Proficient using SAP or similar MMAS systems

  • Proficient with office suite

  • Able to perform a two-person lift in accordance with MIL-STD-1472

  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills

  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Must be able to work extended hours occasionally to meet deadlines

  • US citizenship is required


Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $41,300.00 - $68,900.00


Secondary Level Salary Range: $49,100.00 - $81,800.00


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.


In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
