Job summary

CTDI is seeking an Operations Manager for the 2nd shift to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to SLAs. You will manage production processes, budgets, and compliance with policies and industry regulations.

Lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and optimize inventory and KPI performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership in warehousing/production/logistics with P&L involvement.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills for data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Develop policies and streamline workflows for efficiency.
  • Manage reports, analytics, and daily P&L meetings.
  • Monitor inventory, reduce stockouts, and control costs.
  • Lead staff, provide coaching, and address performance.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customer service.
  • Ensure safety compliance and best practices in the warehouse.
  • Escalate issues and collaborate with corporate for resolutions.

Job description

Position Overview

The Operations Manager oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating various departments, ensuring smooth workflow, driving P&L results, and achieving operational goals. Responsibilities include overseeing production processes, managing budgets, implementing efficiency strategies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday‑Friday

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to streamline workflow, improve productivity, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Manage reports, statistical analysis, and daily P&L reporting, which may include participating in daily P&L calls with Corporate management.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and optimize inventory management processes to minimize stock outs, overstock, and inventory holding costs.
  • Meet or surpass daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
  • Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a positive and high‑performing team culture.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate warehouse operations and address customer needs and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with Corporate management and customers to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), meet customer expectations, and promptly resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Engage in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Provide the next level of support for escalated issues during work shifts.
  • Collaborate with Corporate to facilitate escalations involving corporate resources (IT, network, etc.) for troubleshooting or process improvement purposes.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and generate reports for analysis and decision‑making.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
  • All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience (preferably in a high‑volume, fast‑paced production, manufacturing, distribution, or warehousing environment) with experience working with P&L/budgets.
  • Proficiency in managing a demanding workload, prioritizing tasks, and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Capability to work independently and engage proactively within the warehouse setting.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective problem‑solving abilities and decision‑making skills, with a strategic mindset and a focus on results and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient knowledge of Project Management and the importance of prioritizing deadlines.
  • General knowledge of OSHA Standards.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
  • Experience supervising temporary staff.
  • Technical background.
  • Advanced communication skill flexibility.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
