Job Overview:

Material Handler 2 is responsible for selecting and separating products in a safe and efficient manner, which includes reading labels, placing product in the proper locations on pallets, and preparing it for shipping or put away. Associates accomplish this by following standard work instructions and utilizing a manual pallet jack, as well as using a hand scanner to enter data into a computer system.

• Accurately selects products for put away and shipping.
• Operates manual pallet jack and performs all duties in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Performs job duties such as reading labels, selection, transfers, palletizing, etc., with utmost attention.

Additional Responsibilities:

• As assigned by the manager.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to repeatedly lift and/or push or pull/reach above shoulder height.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, including the use and types of materials/tools, methods, and work instructions.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Environment/Occupational Risks:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently and up to 80 lbs with assistance.
• Extended periods of standing/walking.

Required Schedule:

1st and 2nd shift available.
