Job description

Amerhart is currently hiring for 2 Seasonal Material Handlers for our Marshall, MN facility. This seasonal assignment will be from May - September 2025.

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. As a member of the Operations team, offering to help others when the workload demands, treating teammates with respect and care, and performing work in a safe manner according to safety policies and procedures is critical.

The Starting Pay range for this position is $18-19.00/hour.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. As a member of the Operations team, offering to help others when the workload demands, treating teammates with respect and care, and performing work in a safe manner according to safety policies and procedures is critical.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated location in the warehouse.
  2. Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled. Report any problems such as shortages or damaged material, etc. Inquire with sales team member when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed by sales.
  3. Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
  4. Collaborate with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Coordinator on questions and updates.
  5. Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
  6. Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
  7. Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.

Performance of Miscellaneous Functions

  1. Fill orders for incoming customers.
  2. Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses/yard.
  3. Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  4. Cross train and back-up others in warehouse.
