Job summary

Kendall Howard LLC. in Chisago City, MN is seeking a Material Handler for 1st or 2nd shift. The role involves managing materials in the shop, handling shipping/receiving, and preparing outgoing shipments.

You may also assist with loading/unloading and distributing materials on the shop floor to meet job requirements. 1st Shift runs Monday-Thursday 6am-3:15pm and Friday 6am-10am; 2nd Shift runs Monday-Thursday 3:15pm-1:45am.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling, shipping, and/or receiving is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment.
• Willingness to work either 1st or 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials within the shop and coordinate shipping/receiving.
• Track and process incoming shipments from vendors and returns from customers.
• Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments to customers.
• Load and unload vehicles and distribute materials to the shop floor per job needs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain high quality standards for all parts.
• Collaborate with production leadership to maintain safety systems and performance metrics.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for managing all materials within the shop, including the handling of shipping and receiving products. This role involves tracking and receiving incoming shipments from vendors, as well as processing incoming customer returns. The Material Handler also prepares, packages, and processes all outgoing shipments to customers. Additionally, this position requires loading and unloading vehicles as necessary and distributing materials to the shop floor based on job requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception.
• Collaborate with the VP of Production to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of equipment as needed.
• Maintain the highest level of quality in all parts handled.
• Work with Quality Auditors, the Quality Manager, and others to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Meet all key performance indicators.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in material handling, shipping, and/or receiving is preferred but not required.
• Consideration may be given to a current employee to train into the position at the discretion of the V.P. of Production
