Material Handler 1st Shift - O'Neal Manufacturing Services

Position Summary

The Material Handler may operate forklifts, load trucks, unload and receive parts, pull stock, drive Yard Dogs, clean parts, assemble products or kits, and generally clean the work area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety.
• Handle shipping/receiving duties: receive inbound inventory, store materials, fulfill customer orders, and load outbound shipments.
• Use hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move materials.
• Clean parts and assemble products as needed.
• Provide error-free work to internal and external customers.
• Work under supervision.
• Follow safety and quality protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and banders.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Knowledge of standard practices and procedures, following instructions and guidelines.
• Fluent in conversational English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid driver's license if operating a forklift.
