Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Material Handler for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm) at our Hanover Park distribution center.

You will ensure the orderly flow of materials, operate a cherry picker/order platform picker, and prepare goods for shipment while supporting inventory and housekeeping tasks. The role requires a high school diploma, ability to read/write English, forklift licensure, RF scanner proficiency, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must maintain production standards.
• Proficient in using RF scanner.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve empty pallets, boxes, totes, and trash as needed in department.
• Sort and locate material from floor to surplus location.
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders and inter-warehouse transfers.
• Retrieve product from pallet racks or bins and prepare for shipment.
• Wrap and weight pallets using stretch wrap; scan orders using RF equipment.
• Operate power industrial lift equipment and maintain assigned equipment.
• Participate in general housekeeping and periodic inventory activities.
