Job summary

The Shyft Group is hiring a Material Handler for 1st shift at Utilimaster in Bristol, IN. The role involves selecting, stocking, and transporting materials, while ensuring inventory accuracy and safety compliance.

Requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related experience and a valid forklift license. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, barcode scanners, and MS Office is preferred. OT may be required on short notice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 1–2 years related experience.
• Forklift license required or valid forklift certification.
• Must be able to lift 40+ pounds and climb 20-foot ladders.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and barcode scanners.

Responsibilities

• Order, fill, kit, stock, load, and inspect materials accurately while maintaining inventory records.
• Transport materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, and organize line-set materials per schedule.
• Identify damaged materials, communicate issues, and follow handling procedures.
• Assist with physical inventory, quality improvements, and operator assistance with heavy objects.
• Maintain safety standards and complete required administrative tasks.
