Job summary

O'Neal Steel in Shelbyville, IN is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift (6 am - 2 pm, Mon-Fri). RESPONSIBILITIES include loading/unloading in a warehouse and moving materials using forklifts, cranes, conveyors and other equipment. Strong attention to safety and accuracy is required.

The role requires operating a range of material handling equipment and hand tools, with overtime as needed. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane and others.
• Read a tape measure accurately and follow precise measurements.
• Provide high quality work to internal and external customers and follow established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material within a warehouse and move it to/from trucks or trains.
• Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, conveyors and other equipment to move materials.
• Follow pre-established guidelines; no independent judgment required in typical tasks.
