Available Shift

• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

We are committed to providing competitive, equitable pay with transparency. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $19.60. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Material Handler!

The Material Handler – Basic is responsible for transporting materials within the facility using a tugger, completing forklift training for advancement, and ensuring accurate handling of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use a tugger to deliver materials to designated locations.
• Utilize trigger cards and applications to identify material needs, ensuring accuracy.
• Complete forklift certification, including testing and hours required.
• Review job orders and drawings to determine material needs.
• Use Oracle ERP to check part quantities and locations.
• Meet department targets while adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Follow company policies and seek feedback for improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in material handling or manufacturing.
• At least 1 year of forklift operation with a safe driving record.
• Ability to operate electric forklifts indoors and outdoors.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order quantities.
• Ability to work independently and fulfill material requests.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills for internal applications.
• Basic math skills for calculating quantities and weights.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and report concerns.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
