Job summary

RRD Company is seeking equipment and materials handlers to load, stock, and move items within our warehouse operations. You will assist in binding, packing, and labeling to ensure safe transit of products through our mail and bindery departments.

Day and mid shifts are available, with differential for the mid shift. Applicants should be capable of operating basic warehouse equipment and adhering to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to stock, move, and rotate items per operating instructions.
• Complete stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming/outgoing materials.
• Proficient use of shrink-wrap, strapping equipment, pallet jacks, and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Lay up, feed or pile down materials at equipment.
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to ensure smooth bindery or mailing operations.
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips for accurate tracking.
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit using hand tools.
• Attach identifying tags or labels and record information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles using banding machine and clincher.
• May operate forklift or other powered equipment to move materials as needed.

Compensation

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Available Shifts

Day Shift:5:00AM to 3:00 PM Monday-Thursday

Mid Shift: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday -Thursday

• Mid Shift Differential: $1/hr

Job Duties

• Responsible for laying up, feeding or piling down materials at equipment
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to assure good running in bindery or mailing department
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher.
• May use automated equipment and/or occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

Qualifications

• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials
• Good skill in the use of shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment
• Good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic warehouse procedures, and the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures
• May require experience in operating/using forklift truck.
