Job summary

California Closets Fulfillment/XMC in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Material Handler to move materials throughout the plant and support production. The role includes forklift operation, unloading and loading, and ensuring stock accuracy and paperwork are complete.

You will work 5:00AM–1:00PM with paid lunch, and you will be part of a safety-conscious team that emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and timely inventory handling. Equal opportunity employer with E-Verify in place.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work in all production areas and relieve duties as needed.
  • Follow directions and work cohesively in a team.
  • Read and interpret basic measurements and use a tape measure.
  • Read and understand paperwork and labels.
  • Understand PPE requirements and safety rules.
  • Quickly learn production equipment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Punctuality and good attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Move material between positions and locations throughout the plant.
  • Load/unload product from tables, racks, trucks, or crates.
  • Keep stock organized (TLF) and manage FIFO wood flow.
  • Ensure paperwork like transfer sheets is complete.
  • Maintain bin accuracy and participate in cycle counts.
  • Replenish materials at machines to maintain stock levels.
  • Communicate material issues to line lead.
  • Operate forklift to transport inventory as needed.
  • Report stock discrepancies and assist with loading trucks.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Pay rate: $22.82 – $26.00

Schedule: 5:00AM – 1:00PM – Paid Lunch

The Material Handler is responsible for moving material from one position/location to another throughout the plant.

  • On/off-loading of product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks or wood crates.
  • Ensure TLF is stocked and saws, FIFO wood
  • Responsible to put product away within 24 hours after receiving.
  • Responsible for completeness of paperwork to include transfer sheets.
  • Responsible for bin accuracy, cycle count and loading trucks with forklift.
  • Replenish materials at each machine as required to maintain required stock levels.
  • Responsible for loading/unloading trucks.
  • Responsible to communicate any materials issues with the line lead.
  • Drive forklift and other equipment as transportation of inventory to designated locations.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work in all assigned areas of production; perform relief duties when required.
  • Ability to follow directions and work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and how to use/read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to read and understand paperwork and labels.
  • Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable proscribed personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to adhere to our attendance policy; regular and acceptable punctuality and attendance is required.
