Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a First Shift Warehouse/Material Handler in Kansas City, MO to operate Hi-Lo forklifts, move pallets, and ensure accurate inventory and on-time delivery to internal and external customers.

You will follow safety procedures, participate in training, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while supporting plant flow and customer needs. Some related experience preferred; 12-hour shifts may be required, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent education.
• Previous material handling experience preferred
• Hi-Lo/forklift driving experience preferred.
• Strong personal integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and job requirements.
• Participates in needs analysis and attends scheduled training and educational programs.
• Stops work on processes as appropriate and contains suspect or defective material or services to avoid further processing.
• Operates forklift and moves forks, pallets, loads to designated areas.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags or production schedules.
• Recharges batteries or replaces liquefied gas tanks as needed.
• Supports plant flow by assisting in multiple job responsibilities as required.

Ensure that inventory levels are accurate and maintained.
