Responsibilities

• Retrieve materials from stock via scan using handheld device.
• Deliver materials to designated areas and maintain minimum two hours stock using FIFO.
• Move finished goods to production areas and verify containers are in good condition.
• Obtain returnable containers or pallets for designated areas.
• Return unused material to stock with proper scans.
• Keep stock areas and aisles clear of obstructions.
• Maintain outside storage and tub warehouse; procure containers/pallets as needed.
• Follow safety rules, use harness/safety belt, and perform daily battery changes and preventative maintenance.

Job description

We are seeking a 1st shift Material Handler for a client located in Easley, SC. The candidate should be able to work productively in a medium-to-fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to obtain component materials from stock location by making appropriate scan using handheld device.
• Ability to deliver material to designated areas and ensuring that a minimum of two hours stock is in those areas while using the FIFO method for inventory.
• Ability to move finished goods to designated area once completed by production, this is accomplished by making appropriate scan using handheld device also by verifying finished assembly container is in shippable condition (no parts protruding from container, container stacked safely and stable).
• Ability to obtain returnable containers or pallets for the areas in which assigned.
• Ability to return unused material to stock locations by making appropriate scan.
• Ability to maintain stock areas and aisle ways ensuring that they are clear of material and obstructions.
• Ability to maintain outside storage area and tub warehouse as well as obtaining containers, pallets, etc. from area.
• Ability to follow all safety rules by properly using harness/safety belt, completion of daily checklist, properly changing battery, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience driving a forklift
• Proficient computer skills in all applications

• The ability to operate and become a certified industrial powered truck operator

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift Pay Rate: $15.00/hr
