DC-Centralia

The Material Handler may fulfill multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment to help fulfill the overall mission of processing Inbound and/or Outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely.

Major Activities

1. Performs various functions in a Distribution Center, including Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and other specialized roles requiring additional training/experience. May utilize manual and powered industrial equipment and RF guns.
2. Documents production logs accurately, including changes in assignments, downtime, meetings, etc., to ensure productivity records are correct.
3. Completes other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

• Basic computer skills for certain roles

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic math proficiency for certain roles
• Good record-keeping skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Education

• High school education or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience

• Prior use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment preferred
• Basic warehouse or Distribution Center knowledge recommended; success in a production environment is helpful

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting of 5 to 60 pounds
• Frequent pushing, pulling, standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers

Work Environment

• Exposure to temperature variations, moderate noise, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles

Compensation

Total Base Pay Range: $16.70 - $20.00
