Job summary

Surestaff is immediately hiring a Material Handler in Elk Grove Village, IL to support production in a fast-paced print environment. You will move materials, assist with changeovers, and maintain inventory accuracy while ensuring smooth production flow.

The role requires lifting up to 30 pounds, ability to stand for long periods, and a keen eye for detail. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers competitive pay and health benefits, with 12-hour rotating shifts (2nd: 7:00am–7:00pm at $18.75; 3rd:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, printing, packaging, warehouse, or distribution preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with inventory.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and transport materials using pallet jacks.
• Supply paper, packaging materials, and production components to printing and finishing.
• Label, scan, and document material movements in inventory systems.
• Assist with changeovers, replenishment, and housekeeping.
• Stack, wrap, and prepare finished products for storage or shipping.
• Conduct routine quality checks for damaged materials or defects.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
