Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor and/or Department Supervisor, the Material Handler maintains distribution of materials between the production floor and inventory; loading and unloading; delivering production materials and supplies to the production floor; staging finished products in designated inventory locations; and general housekeeping in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Safely operate a forklift to stage materials, load trucks, unload trucks, and transfer materials within the plant and departments as needed.
2. Prioritize safety in all work activities and ensure all safety procedures are strictly followed.
3. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
4. Maintain an organized, FIFO-controlled warehouse following Pregis Best Practices.
5. Maintain inventory by identifying, placing materials and supplies in stock, and recording their locations.
6. Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, and securing products in the correct locations.
7. Communicate professionally and identify opportunities for improving the work environment.
8. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong organization, time management, and process improvement skills.
• Experience operating a forklift (1+ years).
• Experience with inventory control (1+ years).
• Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing/warehouse environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment following standardized work instructions.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Software (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

• Frequent standing, stooping, sitting; occasional lifting, pushing, pulling.
• Exposure to moving equipment, heat (may exceed 90°F), humidity (may exceed 80%), and noise (may exceed 85dB+).
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment required.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
