Job description

Join to apply for the Material Handler 10a-6:30p role at Indiana University Health.

Hours are 10am-6:30pm.

Facilitates fulfillment requisitions, inventory management, receiving, and projects in a fast-paced, challenging, and physically demanding role in accordance with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Operates robotic goods-to-person picking and conveyor automation safely and efficiently. Ensures accurate and timely receipt of materials within the distribution center. Receives inbound freight with precision, meets daily priorities, and communicates/discrepancies. Unloads, receives, and stages inbound materials accurately and efficiently. Utilizes Warehouse Management System (WMS) to document all receiving activities, including PO Stock, PO Nonstock, and Non-PO items. Uses carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items throughout the distribution center. Safely loads outbound trailers to meet dock times. May handle confidential documents.

Responsibilities:

• Perform physical labor

• Walk up to 10 miles while pulling loaded manual pallet jacks

Must Have:

• Previous picking experience
• Work experience longevity
• High School Diploma/GED
• 0-3 years relevant experience
• Experience operating motorized material handling equipment (preferred)
• Material Handling Certification (may be required)
• Mandatory overtime, on-call rotation, weekend coverage, and operating company vehicle may be required
• Standing 100%, some up to 90% walking
• Long periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching
• Lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 20 pounds from waist to head, carry up to 25 pounds
• Push/pull pallets over 800 pounds with manual pallet jacks
