Job summary

ASD is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and convey materials within our plant, yard, or work site. You will support shipping and receiving, operate hand trucks and forklifts, and assist with inventory accuracy.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, US citizenship, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 30 lbs regularly. The shift is 5:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday to Thursday (4/10 schedule).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Valid State Driver's License with no violations.
• Experience lifting 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Experience operating a box truck and forklift.
• Experience working in a warehouse/stockroom environment for 1 year or more.

Responsibilities

• Picking and Kitting, locating, retrieving and issuing material for production use.
• Assist in inventory integrity through cycle count adherence.
• Conveys materials using hand truck, forklift, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects.
• Shipping and receiving. Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information.
• Has knowledge of the job; works under direct supervision with routine tasks and detailed guidance.
• Performs varied but standardized duties and some more advanced functions.
• Resolves routine questions and problems; refers complex issues to higher levels.
• Usually communicates with colleagues within the department and occasionally with outside contacts.
• Exchanges information or data that may require explanation or interpretation.

• Errors can be detected and corrected but may cause moderate delays or customer dissatisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
