Job Description

• This position is for a 12-hour rotating day shift (7:00AM to 7:00PM). Schedule: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Requirements:

• Reads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or components.
• Responsible for laying up, feeding, or piling down materials at equipment.
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to ensure proper operation in bindery or mailing department.
• Separate signatures by hand based on customer specifications.
• Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production sheet.
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking.
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit, using hand tools.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together using banding machine and clincher.
• May occasionally operate automated equipment and/or industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

Qualifications:

• Able to feed, stock, move, jog, arrange, unload, and rotate items on/off bindery and/or finishing equipment following operating instructions or under supervision.
• Able to complete forms related to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse layout, item identification codes, and warehouse procedures to place or retrieve paper stock, signatures, and materials according to standard procedures.
• Basic skill in using manual dollies, carts, hand trucks, and hand tools such as hammers, pliers, strapping, stretch wrapping tools, tape fasteners, metal band sheers, and related equipment.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.32 to $22.71 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
