The Material Handler 1 performs inventory control activities to support the electronics manufacturing process, contributing to operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction. Their main tasks include kitting materials for production orders, handling and stocking inventory according to industry standards, and accurately recording inventory movements in electronic control systems. Successful Material Handlers have a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and basic computer navigation skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain inventory organization & cycle count by location, count, and status.
• Transact material in ERP system to match physical movement of parts.
• Accurately pick, count, label, and transact parts for production according to pick lists and requests.
• Expedite materials and transactions to support manufacturing.
• Maintain and deliver in-process inventory to work stations.
• Verify inventory counts by physical counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Use reel counters and scales for accurate inventory counts.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and carts.
• Use packaging methods to protect materials, including ESD prevention and moisture-sensitive handling.
• Store and organize parts considering FIFO, locator organization, weight, etc.
• Enter cycle counts and process inventory adjustments in ERP.
• Follow specifications for tape and reel packaging and orientation.
• Maintain safety and 5S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with units of measure.
• Basic computer skills, including email.
• Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced team setting.

Preferred:

• Experience with Excel and handling electronic components.
• Ability to work flexible schedules.
• Use of powered handling equipment like forklifts.

Compensation

In compliance with pay transparency laws, the starting pay is between $17-$19 per hour. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses and benefits, which vary based on experience, location, and schedule.
