Job summary

Millenniumsoft in San Diego, CA is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to partner with Manufacturing, Logistics/Distribution, Planning and other client plants by managing inbound/outbound stock transport orders, procured raw materials and in-process inventory.

You will drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts and discrepancy investigations, and initiate warehouse improvements while reviewing the systematic warehouse for accurate inventories aligned to business goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in inventory management/shipping/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean / Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bulk inventories and integrity of records; investigate problems and develop solutions.
• Conduct cycle counts of all bulk inventories and assist in investigations of discrepancies.
• Provide materials to manufacturing and internal customers as directed by planners or operations.
• Deliver packaging supplies and manage consumable inventory with Packaging department.
• Assist with implementation of department policies and procedures.
• Suggest process improvements and report daily dashboard metrics.

Position : Inventory Control Coordinator

Shift Timings: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $26.72/hr

Job Description

• The Inventory Control Coordinator acts as a key partner to Manufacturing, Logistics/Distribution, Planning and other Client plants by managing all inbound / outbound stock transport orders, procured raw materials and in-process inventory.
• The partner will drive inventory accuracy with routine cycle counts and discrepancy investigation in-line with documented processes.
• The Inventory Control Coordinator will initiate warehouse improvements as well as consistent review of the systematic warehouse, ensuring accurate inventories in line with overall business expectations.
• The partner will develop process improvement recommendations as necessary and input daily dashboard metrics as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain bulk inventories and integrity of paper and electronic records. Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions.
• Conduct cycle counts of all bulk inventories under control of operations. Assist in investigations of all material discrepancies that are outside of preset tolerances
• Provide material for manufacturing and other internal customers as directed by Production Planners or operations management.
• Deliver packaging supplies per request, work with Packaging department on maintaining of their consumable inventory.
• Assist with the implementation of all new and current department policies and procedures.
• Participate in all current departmental processes and make recommendations for improvement.
• Follows Client Biosciences Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area.
• Participates in EH&S programs. Notifies supervisors of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment. Other duties as required

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Minimum 2 years experience in an inventory management/shipping/manufacturing environment
• Experience with continuous improvement tools (i.e. Lean / Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
