Job summary

Latitude 36 Foods in Salinas, CA is hiring a forklift operator for 2nd shift (4:00PM-3:30AM with overtime and weekends). Pay rate is $22.75 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential. Must have PIT training with active license in the last 3 years and 6 months of PIT experience; able to operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts. Warehouse work includes safety, GMP, and SQF readiness, with physical requirements and potential bilingual advantage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete the Power Industrial Truck Certification Program.
• Uphold Safety First and follow all safety rules.
• Adhere to GMP standards and SQF audit readiness.
• Drive forklifts safely and organize raw goods to production staging.
• Support tote supply by transferring totes from staging to production.
• Follow SOPs and complete required documentation.
• Understand allergen and organic warehousing regulations.
• Perform other assignments as directed by leadership.

Additional Compensation Benefits

Required Qualifications

• Must possess previous PIT training with a license/certification active within 3 years, and with 6 months of PIT operator experience.
• Must be able to operate sit-down, stand-up, among other PIT machinery.

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum formal education, HS Diploma preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to successfully complete the Power Industrial Truck Certification Program.
• Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
• Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ensure warehouse is always in SQF Audit readiness.
• Ability to drive the forklifts in a safe manner.
• Ensure and organize supply of raw goods to production staging areas.
• Ability to support tote supply function, transferring totes from tote staging area to production.
• Performing assigned tasks, as required per SOP guidelines.
• Understanding of allergen and organic warehousing regulations.
• Able to complete all other required documentation per SOP guidelines.
• Complete other assignments as requested by leadership.

Physical Requirement/Environment

• Ability to stand for long periods of time with extensive walking and working in refrigerated coolers (32*).
• Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds or more frequently as needed.
• Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.
