Job Overview

Material Handlers are responsible for storing, verifying, and preparing merchandise for shipment, including selecting packaging, staging, and labelling.

Essential Responsibilities

• Load, lift, or package boxes and crates for shipping while ensuring accuracy of contents
• Assist with packing materials distribution and disposal of empty boxes
• Stock items in assigned locations within the warehouse
• Accurately pick merchandise from existing stock to fill customer orders
• Pack and seal boxes following standard procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently and up to 80 lbs with assistance
• Extended periods of standing/walking (10+ hours/day)
• Attention to detail and ability to count
• Ability to locate and identify specific items
• Manual packing and sealing of boxes following standard procedures

Preferred Education, Experience, and Licenses

• Minimum 6 months experience in a warehouse
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Environment/Occupational Risks
