Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Materials Handler/Warehouse Associate to support material movement, inventory accuracy, and shipping activities in a climate-controlled facility. You will participate in cycle counts, packaging, and processing of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring materials reach manufacturing lines when needed.

Ideal candidates have experience with warehouse operations, ability to lift heavy materials, and familiarity with WMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • No visa sponsorship available now or in the future for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counting and inventory control to ensure material accuracy.
  • Verify incoming materials against POs and invoices; document discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments; maintain shipping records and weights/charges.
  • Stock, store, and distribute materials to locations and lines.
  • Prepare kitting packages and operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.

Job Description

As a Material Handler/Warehouse Associate, you will support the movement and accuracy of materials throughout the facility by managing receiving, inventory, storage, distribution, and shipping activities. You will help ensure manufacturing operations have the materials needed by performing cycle counts, maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing kits, and processing incoming and outgoing shipments. You will work as part of the Materials and Logistics team in an air conditioned, warehouse/manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform cycle counting, inventory control, and inventory record maintenance to ensure material accuracy.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and invoices; document discrepancies and reject unsatisfactory items.
  • Prepare, package, document, and process outgoing shipments, including maintaining shipping records and posting shipping weights and charges.
  • Stock, store, and distribute materials, parts, supplies, and equipment to inventory locations and manufacturing lines.
  • Prepare kitting packages for assembly and operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, as required.
The Essentials - You Will Have
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have
  • Relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or material handling.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory tracking tools.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Operate and/or obtain certification to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial trucks.
