Cascades is hiring a Material Handler in Warrenton to support production operations on the warehouse floor. The role involves moving materials, performing safety checks, and maintaining inventory in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time position offers an overnight shift (7:00pm-7:15am on a 48/36hr rotating schedule), a starting hourly wage of 22.34 with a $1 night shift premium after training, and a range of benefits including group insurance, telemedicine, and a company retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, and electric pallet jack.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift/clamp truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials and goods.
• Conduct daily safety checks on forklifts and report malfunctions.
• Perform Inventory within department.
• Follow safety regulations and company guidelines to prevent accidents.
• Ensure compliance with facility safety procedures and food safety policies.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse environment.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

What you’ll do

As a Material Handler, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. Your day-to-day:

• Operate a forklift/clamp truck to move, stack, and retrieve various materials and goods
• Conduct daily safety checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions
• Perform Inventory within department
• Follow all safety regulations, company guidelines, and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Ensure compliance with all facility safety procedures and food safety policies
• Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the warehouse
• Assist in other departments as needed

Your strengths as a Material Handler

You are a natural fit for this role if:

• Experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, and electric pallet jack
• SAP experience preferred
• Ability to efficiently load and unload materials consistently lifting 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and stand is required
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments is required
• Ability to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods is required.
