A leading company in motion and control technologies is seeking a Pick Parts Associate. This role involves checking schedules, accurately picking parts for assemblies, and maintaining work area organization according to safety standards. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and the ability to lift and stand for extended periods.
Position Summary
Basic Function:
Perform all job pick duties in supermarket.
Scope/Supervision:
A positive working relationship with all team members in all departments and supervision.
Responsibilities
Check scheduling box for jobs
Put parts away from Inspection and/or Receiving
Pull parts from supermarket
Accurately pick parts for assemblies and put onto tugger cart
Deliver/pick up parts on scheduled assembly routes
Deliver/pick up parts on scheduled machine routes
Support machinists with raw material as needed
Print labels as needed
Assign part locators as needed
Support and maintain inventory accuracy
Keep work area neat and organized using the 5S+ Safety approach
Support and participate in all LEAN activities
Inform supervisor of maintenance and safety needs on all equipment
Follow all OSHA compliance regulations
Assist in shipping/packaging as needed
Prepare service literature/packets for assembly
Pull spare parts, orders or kits as needed
Notify planning of any part shortages
Order consumables (bags, grease, ribbon, labels, etc.) as assigned
Be an effective team member and perform other duties as required by supervision and as responsibilities necessitate
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must maintain a high level of quality and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing roles and changing priorities
Must be able to regularly lift up to 25lbs., intermittently lift up to 40lbs., and occasionally lift up to 75lbs. with team assistance
Must be able to stand on feet all day
Daily attendance required
Must have general computer skills
Ability to read and understand pick lists and routings
Ability to withstand repetitive movements such as bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, ladders, squatting
