Job summary

Maco PKG is seeking a dependable Material Handler in New York to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves safely moving raw materials, supplies, packaging components, and finished goods using a forklift and other material-handling equipment.

You will move materials throughout the facility, operate forklifts, supply production areas, and ensure accurate inventory and storage. Join a fast-paced team with safety and GMP compliance at the core.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating material-handling equipment preferred.
• Forklift experience/certification preferred; training may be provided.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Barcode scanner operation experience; SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas throughout the facility.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supply production areas with materials needed to maintain operations.
• Move completed product from production areas to designated storage or staging locations.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as required.
• Follow proper material identification, handling, storage, and packing procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas.
• Assist with other material-handling and production-support duties as assigned.
• Experience with inventory control and physical counts.

• Move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supply production areas with materials needed to maintain operations.
• Move completed product from production areas to designated storage or staging locations.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as required.
• Follow proper material identification, handling, storage, and packing procedures.

• Follow all safety, GMP, food-safety, and company procedures.
• Assist with other material-handling and production-support duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate a barcode scanner (SAP knowledge preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to regularly bend, reach, twist, turn, stand, and walk.
• Ability to work in areas where temperatures may vary based on outside conditions.

Training

Employees receive applicable training in areas including OSHA/safety awareness, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, emergency procedures, GMPs, and food safety.
