Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Material Handler in Vandalia, OH to perform material handling in a fast-moving warehouse, move materials, stage orders, and operate warehouse equipment.

You'll scan items, maintain a safe, organized work area, and collaborate with the team to meet daily goals. This position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working 2nd shift with potential overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with cherry pickers or high-reach equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Wearing steel-toe shoes.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and stage orders for order fulfillment.
• Scan and track items to keep inventory accurate.
• Operate pallet jacks and stretch wrap machines.
• Use safe handling techniques and follow safety policies.

Material Handler

Location: Vandalia, OH

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (Monday – Friday) plus Saturdays for overtime as needed

Job Overview

Perform material handling duties in a fast‑moving warehouse environment, including moving materials, staging orders, scanning items, and maintaining an organized, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and stage orders for order fulfillment.
• Scan and track items to keep inventory accurate.
• Operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks (electric or manual) and stretch wrap machines.
• Use safe handling techniques and adhere to all safety guidelines and policies.
• Collaborate with team members to support daily warehouse operations.
• Perform additional job‑related tasks and follow instructions from supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Experience with cherry pickers or other high‑reach equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. (or more, as required).
• Basic math skills.
• Driver’s safety and team‑player attitude.
• Experience operating stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, reach trucks, and stack pickers.
• Wearing steel‑toe or composite shoes/boots.
