WORK SHIFT

Third Shift (United States of America)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Review MATTEC schedule at shift start to determine material or color changes.
• Keep assigned machines supplied with proper materials and maintain clean injection units.
• Perform material and color changes with minimal downtime, including purging, drying, and cleaning.
• Blend materials with regrind, colorant and virgin resins per approved percentages.
• Move finished goods and WIP to staging area using forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Inventory, label, and return materials to warehouse at end of production runs.
• Assist other employees in the area and coordinate with StartUp, Utility, and supervisors.
• Maintain “Clean Sweep” program to prevent plastic pellets from entering storm drains.
• Ensure proper handling of hazardous waste and trash.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear PPE, attend safety meetings, and report hazards.
• Work overtime and remain flexible for scheduling needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
• Valid classC forklift certification.
• Basic math skills and ability to read/interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of injection‑molding resins (preferred).
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with material and color change procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50lbs., operating machinery, and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and other hazards as detailed.

PPE REQUIREMENTS

Safety glasses, utility gloves, steel‑toe slip‑resistant shoes, hard hat, hearing protection, face shield or mask per company policy.
