Job description

Position: Material Handling Agent

Schedule: Monday- Friday 9am-5:30pm

Compensation: $23 per hour

The Material Handler will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations for key accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping/receiving and utilizing warehouse software such as Warehouse Management System, ERP, and/or Inventory Management System.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Process all aspects of materials (Pick, Pack, QC, & Ship)
• Assist with Inventory Cycle Counts as required.
• Complete daily forklift checklist
• Follow all procedures (work instructions, training, etc.), policies, processes, and customer profiles appropriately without making exceptions.
• Assist in the resolution of all inbound and outbound discrepancies.
• Provide prompt and accurate customer service, assuring customer satisfaction.
• Arrange and maintain filing and recording systems.
• Documents and records monthly activities for period-end reporting.
• Inspect freights and follows appropriate reporting procedures.
• Forklift movement and shrink-wrapping of pallets.
• Overall general upkeep of warehouse and ensure warehouse safety.
• Complete 5s daily each week
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 6 months of experience with domestic shipping experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Warehouse Oracle Database Experience is a plus
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Forklift Certification preferred
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers
