Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring a Material Handler to support production by receiving, counting, organizing, and distributing materials throughout the facility. This role ensures inventory accuracy by verifying incoming materials and staging required items in designated areas.

You will assist with counting, labeling, and storing materials, and may operate forklifts and other handling equipment while maintaining safety and organization in the warehouse.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately count materials by hand and through scale-counting methods.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials, components, and supplies from vendors and carriers.
  • Verify quantities and inspect materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Perform accurate material counts using hand-counting methods and scale-counting equipment as required.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or quality concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Label, identify and store materials in designated inventory locations.
  • Pull and stage materials for production jobs according to work orders and schedules.
  • Ensure materials are staged in designated areas and are available when needed for production.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through manual and/or computerized systems.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as authorized.
  • Keep warehouse and staging areas organized, clean and safe.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
  • Assist with shipping, packaging, and other warehouse duties as assigned.

Description
