Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift in a warehouse environment. Primary duties include operating powered equipment, loading, picking, and putting away goods. Candidates should have basic warehouse experience and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ideal candidates will have forklift experience and familiarity with WMS systems such as JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or SAP. We offer training and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience preferred.
• Experience with a WMS is highly desired.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product.
• Load product onto equipment, pallets or totes.
• Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock, ensuring exact quantity and type.
• Verify customer orders for quantity and accuracy.
• Maintain equipment and facility in a neat, clean, orderly fashion; inspect equipment daily.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Position: Material Handler

Shift: 1st Shift

Days: Monday-Thursday

Hours: 5:00AM- 3:00PM

Pay: $18.45 an hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following:

• Order Fulfillment as Case Picker and Packer - to include cross‑trained skills across multiple departments - inbound, outbound.
• Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing using computer, shipping label and/or packing list.
• Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired. Examples of WMS systems are JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Role Purpose

Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
• Put‑away and pick product for shipment or stock. Insure the exact number and type of products, ordered by the customer, are checked and loaded correctly.
• Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct.
• Changes equipment battery or LP tank and monitors power source as necessary.
• Verify and report discrepancies such as non‑available products and OS&D.
• Maintain the facility and the facility’s equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion. Inspect all operated equipment daily.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, prefer
