Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, in Sweetwater, TN, seeks a Material Handler to move polymer concrete boxes, covers, and vaults within the yard and to load/offload trucks for daily shipments.

You will follow safety and quality guidelines, operate a forklift, read work orders, and help maintain yard organization and inventory accuracy while supporting continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with forklift operations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic math skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to stand or sit for long durations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. continuously.
• Work in hot and cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and guidelines.
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Programs.
• Read and interpret Production Work Orders, Assembly Pick Sheets, and Bills of Lading.
• Identify safety hazards in yard and storage areas.
• Inspect and perform forklift maintenance checks daily/weekly.
• Inspect materials and equipment for defects.
• Pick, wrap and stage orders for daily shipment or storage.
• Maintain accuracy and organization of yard bin locations.
• Perform cycle counts as needed.
• Consolidate pallets as needed.
• Empty dumpsters and scrap bins.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for moving products "in and out" of the facility: polymer concrete boxes, covers, and vaults, from designated storage locations in the yard. Also, the material handler will be responsible for loading products "onto and off-of" trucks for daily shipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and guidelines
• Actively participate in company's Continuous Improvement Programs
• Ability to read and interpret Production Work Orders (PWO), Assembly Pick Sheets (Orders), and Bill of Ladings
• Identify safety hazards in the yard and storage locations
• Inspect and perform maintenance checks on the forklift, daily & weekly
• Inspect material, products, or equipment for defects
• Pick, wrap and stage orders for daily shipment or storage
• Maintaining accuracy and organization of yard bin locations
• Perform cycle counts as needed
• Consolidate pallets as needed
• Empty dumpsters and scrap bins
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
