The Material Handler is responsible for manually or by using hand trucks moving materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas within the facility or onto trucks. This position typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.

Responsibilities

• Perform various material handling duties manually or with hand trucks in the facility.
• Load finished products onto pallets or hand trucks manually.
• Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.
• Provide cleaning services as necessary, including sweeping floors, cleaning offices, and removing trash in proper containers or designated areas.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing related tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Ability to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Frequent walking in the distribution center and surrounding areas, which are over a quarter mile in length.
• Ability to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations, with access to all areas of the building.
• Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Attention to detail.
