Job description

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all safety procedures and report hazards to the supervisor or appropriate resource.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Notify supervisors of issues concerning equipment, operations, materials, or documentation.
  • Receive, stock, pick, issue, and deliver materials to meet performance guidelines and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform routine duties such as supplying parts to packers and machine operators, and removing finished items to storage or next workstation.
  • Sort, weigh, coordinate materials, and prepare paperwork for purchase and work orders.
  • Follow schedules, make deliveries and pickups to maintain workflow, and prevent material accumulation.
  • Remove packed items from conveyor, stack, and pile on skid.
  • Set up workstations and instruct operators on procedures and safety when needed.
  • Operate forklift and report shortages to supervisor.
  • Pick parts from assembly and stock them.
  • Assist with cycle counts and stock control.
  • Maintain equipment and safety checks.
  • Ensure products meet quality specifications and maintain accurate records and inventory.
  • Perform rotational assignments and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Academic Background

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Preferred: 1+ years of production experience
  • Experience with RF scanners and related software
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and printing label software

Skills

  • Knowledge of material flow processes and safety policies
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to operate equipment like wave lifts, tugger trucks, and tow motors

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Bend, squat, reach above head, climb stairs/ladders

  • Work in confined spaces
