Job summary

Eliason Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced Material Handler and Receiver to move, store, and control materials. The role includes receiving shipments, verifying inventory, delivering materials to production areas, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

We require 2+ years in material handling or receiving, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of ERP systems. Forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years' related material handler or receiving clerk experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Working knowledge of ERP computer programs for entering data.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all documentation in English.
  • Prior forklift operation experience or the ability to obtain forklift certification within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
  • Receive shipments, verify packages according to order and invoices and sign paperwork upon receipt.
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks and inspecting contents to ensure they are undamaged and hold driver accountable prior to unloading/end of transaction.
  • Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified and manage the return of unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock.
  • Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Documenting product shipment by recording units shipped and maintaining material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs.
  • Responsible for supporting and complying with the company’s Integrated Management System, which aligns with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) standards.
  • Must follow established procedures, contribute to continual improvement, and promote a culture of quality, environmental responsibility, and workplace safety in all aspects of their work.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
