Job summary

Accurate Personnel is hiring a Material Handler in Saint Charles, IL to assemble, seal, count and stack packed boxes and keep hoppers, granulators and barrels clean. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Pay starts at $18–$20 per hour with shifts on first, second and third; benefits include medical, dental and vision. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting production on a fast-paced packaging line.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Experience in plastics/packaging a plus.
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems.
• Strong problem solving and independent initiative.

Responsibilities

• Move unassembled cartons from staging area to taping station.
• Assemble cartons and tape per packing instructions for running item.
• Limit production to 30 minutes to 1 hour worth of output to reduce congestion.
• Place preassembled empty cartons on lines for easy access and keep neat.
• Close and tape full boxes promptly after packing.
• Ensure liners are folded or tied to prevent dust contamination.
• Label and carton accurately with correct carton number and codes.
• Stack cartons on pallet with labels facing out in neat rows.
• Apply banding or stretch wrap per shipping specifications.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; escalate if not.
• PPE must be worn on the production floor.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MATERIAL HANDLER IN SAINT CHARLES, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Material Handler to join our team in Saint Charles, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for assembling, sealing, counting, and stacking of packed boxes. clean hoppers, granulators, and barrels. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, and more listed below.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $18-$20/hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Bring unassembled cartons from staging area to taping station for your assigned lines
• Assemble cartons and tape them per the packing instructions for the item that is running on your assigned lines
• Make only enough cartons to be used on 30 minutes or 1 hour worth of production to eliminate congestion and safety risks
• Place preassembled empty cartons (with unopened liners) on each line where Packer-Trimmer-Inspectors can have easy access to them. Keep cartons neat and orderly
• Close up and tape shut (or bundle up) full boxes as soon as possible after a Inspector Packer- has completed packing them
• Make sure liner(s) are properly folded or tied per instruction to prevent dust contamination of the finished goods
• Mark label and carton neatly with correct carton number and any other special coding information
• Place finished cartons on pallet or slip sheet as required by instructions. Cartons are to be numbered and stacked in the order they were produced, labels always facing out. Always stack cartons in straight and neat rows
• Apply correct banding or stretch wrap to stacked cartons per shipping specifications
• The Production Supervisor will assign each Utility Person an area(s) that he/she is responsible for keeping clean, neat, and orderly. If this area is not clean, neat, and orderly at the beginning of the shift, point this out to the Packaging Supervisor before the end of the previous shift
• Keep the area around your workstation clean and free from dirt and debris; this may include cleaning assigned areas of the building or pieces of equipment as instructed by your supervisor

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred
• Experience in plastics or packaging industry a plus
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems
