Job summary

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a Material Handler for a large distribution warehouse in Roanoke, TX. This full-time position operates on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

You will lift 40–50 pounds and move around a warehouse shipping and receiving environment most of the day. Duties include assisting with shipping paperwork, coordinating with carriers, logging orders, and maintaining records for accounting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.
• Ability to move around a warehouse 90% of the time.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, crouch, reach overhead and below knees.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving related administrative duties.
• Communicate and coordinate with transportation companies; handle routine questions and problems.
• Maintain open communication with other departments through the shipping/delivery cycle.
• Verify invoices, bills, and charges related to shipments.
• Log order information into systems; file and distribute paperwork.
• Maintain records and generate reports for accounting and other areas.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Lifting 40-50 pounds
• Must be able to move around a warehouse shipping and receiving environment 90% of the time.
• Needs to often twist, stoop, crouch, reach about shoulders and below knees
• Needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Duties may include:

• Performing administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of materials and finished goods
• Communicating and coordinating with transportation companies; handling routine questions and problems;
• Maintaining open communication with other departments through the shipping/delivery cycle
• Confirming the accuracy of invoices, bills, and charges relative to the shipment of materials and goods;
• Logging order information into systems;
• filing and distributing paperwork as necessary;
• Maintain records and generate reports for accounting and other areas.
