Job summary

Ascend Staffing is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery in a fast-paced production setting. The job features a four-day workweek (Mon-Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) with occasional overtime on Fridays and a temp-to-hire path.

Pay ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits. You will diagnose equipment problems, perform preventive maintenance, set up machinery for production runs, and respond quickly to maintenance needs to

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to inspect, test, and measure mechanical components.
• Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM-4:30 PM.
• Ability to follow safety procedures in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery and mechanical equipment.

• Set up machinery and changeovers based on production requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery and mechanical equipment

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime

Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs

Set up machinery and complete equipment changeovers based on production requirements

Inspect, test, and measure machine parts to identify wear, damage, and mechanical issues

Repair or replace defective components to restore equipment to proper operating condition

Support production operations by responding promptly to equipment and maintenance needs

Follow established workplace safety, maintenance, and operational procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment

Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

Ability to inspect, test, and measure mechanical components

Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM-4:30 PM

Ability to work mandatory Friday overtime when scheduled

Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a production environment

Preferred:

Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role

Experience with preventive maintenance, machinery repair, equipment setup, and production changeovers

Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance experience
