Job Type: Full-time, Nonexempt, 100% Onsite

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Hours: M-F, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Eastern Time

Position Summary

Aertssen is seeking an energetic Material Handler to join our growing team. The Material Handler position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of reach trucks to handle materials, organize storage, and support inventory management within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Operational Duties

• Operate the reach truck according to safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Load and unload pallets and materials from trucks and trailers.
• Ensure proper placement of materials to prevent damage and optimize space.
• Assist in order picking and verification against packing lists.
• Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring proper pallet placement and rotation.
• Follow FIFO/LIFO storage principles as required.
• Assist in merging parts into kits to support the assembly department.
  
  
  

Administrative and Safety Duties

• Participate in inventory checks and cycle counting.
• Assist in locating and retrieving materials efficiently.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
• Support operational efficiency by verifying products against packing lists.
• Palletize mixed products for shipment and storage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating reach trucks and forklifts is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks.
• Not afraid of heights.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.
• Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance is a plus.
