Job summary

Manpower in Richmond, UT is hiring a Material Handler to safely move, stage, and store raw materials, packaging, and finished goods on all shifts. The role ensures accurate inventory handling while upholding safety and food quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and GMP/SQF requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and work effectively with diverse teams and cross-functional partners.

  • Load/unload trailers and verify counts and documentation.
  • Perform material movements and system transactions (scanning, labeling, inventory).
  • Inspect materials for damage, contamination, or labeling errors.
  • Maintain FIFO/FEFO material rotation.
  • Follow GMP, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Keep warehouse, docks, and staging areas clean and organized.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Communicate with Production, Warehouse, and Quality teams.

Job Summary

The Material Handler supports food manufacturing operations by safely moving, staging, and storing raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This role ensuresaccurateinventory handling while following all safety, sanitation, and food quality standards.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Regularly lift and move up to 50pounds;occasionally more withassistance
  • Work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and humidity
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime asrequired
