Join to apply for the Material Handler role at KMC.

Summary of Position: Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Material Handler transports tooling and product to and from work centers or designated areas. Operates forklifts, electrical hoists, or other power-driven equipment to load or move materials. Supplies needed materials, other than raw materials, from inventory to production areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not exhaustive and may be expanded as necessary by management.

1. Deliver and restore dies to and from work centers based on daily schedules.
2. Assist in loading and unloading dies from presses.
3. Keep die storage area clean and organized, with tools identified.
4. Deliver dies to and from the tool room.
5. Deliver cartons and skids to work centers.
6. Empty scrap luggages and perform miscellaneous tasks as required.
7. Move products between operations or to hold areas, and perform move transactions in the system.
8. Deliver hot orders from machines to shipping areas.
9. Remove trash, cardboard, and scrap metal from work areas and dispose of them properly.
10. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of aisles.
11. Assist in maintaining and ordering carton inventory.
12. Organize the partials area and deliver partial boxes to the wash machine as needed.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this role successfully, candidates should be highly motivated, with 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience, good organizational and basic reading/writing skills, and the ability to work overtime if required. Must be certified to operate a forklift and have strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Requirements: Regularly use hands, sit, stand, walk, reach; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds; require close vision and focus adjustment.

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 am to 3:30 pm.
